Wednesday 6/7 Most of the t-shirt and white hardhat guys are over building the wooden fence facing Bissey Street. There’s a guy in the blue container doing some hammering, his white truck is parked on the ramp next to it. They just moved the huge claw and shovel truck across the lot, and it looks like they’re either playing bames or trying to move it back where it was before. So much of what happens on a construction site looks aimless, tho they act like worker ants. These guys are all white, the fence builders. The guy in the container came out, grabbed two stakes from the shade of my tree, and walked off, a bunch of belted tools slapping against his legs like really long dicks.
The fence means we’ll only be able to see the tallest trucks going by on bissey. Of course, when the building is up we won’t get that. Or the streetlights. Or the north wind.
Very hot at night, unable to sleep, getting up at night and working until 2 or 3 in the morning, sleeping until 9:30 or so.
