Construction Thursday 7/27 October 26, 2006

Wednesday 6/7 Hammering of metal on metal, doing something to the rebar out back. Knocking it loose from the concrete forms.

They’re at the corner of ahr street and cyde street now. The mexican guy with the pony tail who runs the big spider shovel asked if we wanted to bring the car in, but we put it into the shade. He mentioned that people were always driving right thru the construction as if they didn’t see the many signs put up to say the road was closed, no parking. Our tenant parked out front last night like an idiot.

A truck came down the back loaded with lots of oblong gray things. Undoing the tie-downs. Then they did them up again, and the truck pulled out and left. What were they? They were thin, maybe 3″ thick. Not thick enough to be rebarred. They looked more like floor tiles than cement walls for the vault. forms.

Nothing visible happened all day out back.
