ednesday 6/7 a big flatbed is leaving after dropping off…maybe more rebar. don’t see any new machines. they’ve put up more rebnar caging around the perimeter, and shaved away more dirt between that and the edge of the hole. and now they’ve dug more square holes for column footings or something, on the inside of the soon to be edges.

mexicans taking siesta after lunch, lying down with their hats over their faces. one of them got up and stood above them on the hill, singing the first verse of some spanish balad. his voice rang in the air. he moved to a pice of sheet metal and stomped along with the second verse. this was the alarm clock. after that they all got up and went back to work. the guy belts out a verse of something at times thruout the day.
