Wednesday 6/7 we saw a train going by overheaad as we crossed under decatur street, every car was filled with gravel. there were hundreds of cars. we talked about all the construction this represented, how much of it was sewer and how much was new commercial construction

7 dumptrucks waiting on ahr and cyde streets for 9:00, when the crews would close a lane of bissey street so they could pull the excavators in and dig up the street so they could haul it away to the dump. which dump? i should ask.

rain threatened all afternoon as a line of showers appeared stretching from the north georgia mountains to mississippi, but it always went by, and at a very fast clip. it rained some places (wholefoods was out of power since 5 last night until 7:30 this morning so everything went into a refer truck when i went to get lamb sausage.)
