ednesday 6/7 the road crews out f/ront are back. they came thru posting no parking anytime signs, which were ignored by all. so they came thru with letters for everybody’s maibox listng the street closures. ahr street, and all the others in the sewer separation project, are scheduled to be closed from january 2 to february 2. they’re supposed to connect the pipes, then resod, rebrick the sidewalks, repave the entire street. it could take some time, or it could happen all at once, so they promise. today they cut lines across the road.

out back they kept laying little bitty squares of planking up on the roof, i assume around the elevator shaft. lots of men on every floor. they’re cinderblocking the entire east wall without window breakes, which means they’re planning on extending the building to the corner when they finish buying up the properties. we heard they’re planning a publix a few blocks down toward the middle of town. how nice.
