blue sky. cold. windy. only after noon did it get warm and then only in the sun. they started by lining up more steel i-beams in the alley. then they laid more planking.
they’re out front at the maine street corner still, working on the pipes connecting everybody’s sewage to the new pipes in the street. they’re still down at maggie’s house. they’te going to have to run the pipes thru to the back of the houses in order to reach the sewage outlets. that’s got to be a massive job.
the back yard flooded to its highest so far. to the middle of the wildflower meadow. it’s still there in the evening. forman wasn’t there or i would have said something. those trees are going to suffer with the water. and i just transplanted another rose, and dumped it into a watery hole. same with the azalea i put into its place. mud.
